Polyisobutylene (PIB) 
is a colorless, tasteless, non-toxic thick or semi-solid substance, heat resistance, oxygen resistance,
ozone resistance, weather resistance, ultraviolet resistance, acid and alkali resistance and other chemicals good      performance.Polyisobutylene is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic isobutylene homopolymer. Due to the different preparation methods and technological conditions, the molecular Chemicalbook amount of polyisobutylene varies in a wide range. Most of the molecular weight of the product reaches more than 10,000 to 200,000 will be converted from a thick liquid to a semi-solid, and then transition to a rubber-like elastomer. Polyisobutylene is resistant to acid, alkali, salt, water, ozone and aging, and has excellent air tightness and electrical insulation.

Application Field

Although the formula of polybutylene may vary in the molecular weight of polymers, polybutylene refers to polymers with relatively low molecular weight, which are liquid at room temperature and pressure. Polybutylene is often used as a plasticizer, adhesive,chemical  additive and sealant. Although polybutylene has been found to be used to improve the adhesion,rust prevention and waterproof properties of coatings, it is also often used in the formulation of cosmetics such as lipstick.

Polyisobutylene is used as a raw material in the production of adhesives, insulating adhesives and other products, and as an additive to lubricating oil.
