Oil field: As a wetting agent for oil-based drilling fluid, it has good wetting reversal effect1.
Industrial applications: natural and synthetic rubber and asphalt emulsifiers; silkworm room disinfectants; protein coagulants in penicillin fermentation processes; synthetic fiber antistatic agents; water quality stabilizers for large chemical equipment; oil field water injection bactericides; fire extinguishing foams, catalysts, etc.
Scientific research applications: used to evaluate the relationship between the distribution of counterions on the surface of the solution and the mutual solubility of counterions, as well as to study micelle formation.
Storage conditions: Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide should be stored in an environment below 30°C, avoid prolonged heating above 120°C, and is very easy to absorb water. It should be sealed and stored dry, and should not be used with anionic surfactants.
