Product Introduction:
Disodium EDTA Chelation binds to metal ions which inactivates them.
The binding of metal ions helps prevent the deterioration of cosmetics and personal care products.
It also helps to maintain clarity, protect fragrance compounds, and prevent rancidity.
By binding with metal ions, EDTA 2NA prevents metals from being deposited onto hair and skin.
Application Field
1.Food additive:
-According to GB2760-2014, food grade disodium EDTA can be used as stabiliser, coagulant, antioxidant and preservative.
-It can prevent discolouration, deterioration, turbidity and oxidative loss of vitamin C caused by metal ions, and play the role of colour protection, antioxidant and anticorrosion for food.
-Specifically applied to beverages (except packaged drinking water), jams, vegetable puree (sauce), compound seasoning, groundnut preserved fruits, pickled vegetables, canned vegetables, canned nuts and seeds, etc., with the use amount ranging from 0.03g/kg to 0.25g/kg.
2. Pharmaceutical field:
-Disodium EDTA is used in the treatment of diseases associated with metal ions, such as heavy metal poisoning.
-It is also used as a buffer in some pharmaceuticals.
3.Cosmetics and personal care products:
-EDTA disodium can improve the stability of cosmetics and enhance moisturising properties.
As a mineral chelator, it synergises preservation and protects the quality and safety of cosmetics.
4.Industrial applications:
-In textile printing and dyeing industry, disodium EDTA can be used as a chelating agent to improve the colouring rate and colour fastness of dyes.
