Function & Application     

Carboxymethyl chitosan is a kind of water-soluble chitosan derivative and amphoteric polyelectrolyte, which is formed by introducing hydrophilic group -CH2COOH into the polymer chain of chitosan. After carboxymethyl modification, the solubility of chitosan is improved, especially in neutral and alkaline solutions, which makes it have the characteristics of film formation, thickening, moisturizing and chelating, so it is widely used in agriculture, medicine, health products, cosmetics, preservation and environmental protection.

In Food Field:

Thickening agent, fruit and vegetable fresh-keeping agent, juice and fruit wine clarifying agent, Chinese medicine flocculation clarifying agent, water purifying agent, food zymotic fluid flocculating agent, etc.
 

Health Care Field:

Chitosan has the effects of improving immunity, guarding against hypertension, regulating blood sugar, anti-aging, enhancing acid constitution, etc, also can be used in membrane materials, etc.
